Job description

Treehouse Children's School in Norwich, VT is hiring lead early childhood teachers for our toddler program. We are home to five early childhood classrooms that serve children ages six weeks to five years old. Inspired by the world-renowned schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy, our teachers work in collaborative teams to provide the highest quality early childhood education and care.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and a minimum of one to two years of working with young children. You should be familiar with NAEYC standards, VT Early Learning Standards (VELS), and the Reggio Emilia approach. You are committed to growing and learning alongside children, colleagues and parents. Ideally, you have experience planning fascinating “provocations” and documenting children's thinking and learning. If not, we offer coaching to bring new hires up to speed.

TCS offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience, as well as an excellent benefits package and professional development opportunities. Benefits include health, dental and vision contributions, paid sick and personal days, discretionary budgets for classrooms, opportunities for continued learning and professional development, on-site coaching in Reggio-inspired practices, a collegial and open-minded faculty, and an engaged and loving community of families.
