Job description

Salary Range: $84,137 - $140,000

Help the Navy modernize aircraft navigation systems with the latest GPS technologies at Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Essential Job Functions:

Review software and hardware requirements for GPS, design documentation, test plans, test procedures, and other technical documentation.

Working with leading edge GPS technologies in support of aircraft. Includes GPS and assured position navigation and timing (APNT).

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, minimum 5 years of experience.

Good written and oral communications. Ability to work efficiently with Microsoft Office products. Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams.

Desired Skills:

Familiar with NAVAIR Systems Engineering Technical Review processes. Familiar with Navy acquisition regulations and processes. Master's degree in aeronautical, systems, electrical, or computer engineering.

At least 3 years of experience supporting aircraft avionics integrations of GPS navigation systems, preferably into military aircraft.
