Job description

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 32 countries and territories in North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which distribute over 15 billion gallons annually to approximately 11,000 Sunoco and partner-branded retail locations, as well as independent dealers and commercial customers.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for: the input and analysis of pipeline data, the creation and design of Portal/ArcGIS Online web maps and applications, and the automation of geoprocessing tasks.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the accrual and input of pipeline data from various sources into a central database.

  • Create and maintain all High Consequence Areas (HCAs).

  • Ability to automate geoprocessing tasks.

  • Process large amount of information to solve issues.

  • Provide technical support to other departments for all ArcGIS Portal/Online applications.

  • Create Portal/ArcGIS Online maps and applications, and use Arcade to customize content.

  • Work with I/S to integrate GIS data with other company databases.

Experience Level:

  • The Associate Analyst/Specialist level requires 0-2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • The Analyst/Specialist level requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • The Sr Analyst/Specialist level requires 5-8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • The Lead Analyst/Specialist level requires 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience Requirement:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products required

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proof work for accuracy

  • Experience working independently with limited supervision.

  • Hands on experience with ESRI's ArcGIS Pro, Portal/ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Survey123, Quick Capture, Dashboards, Insights, Experience Builder.

  • Experience with ArcGIS Arcade, Python/ArcPy, and ESRI's Model Builder.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, managing time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines.

  • Ability to take directions from supervisors and work in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of GIS data types, GPS collection, relational and spatial databases, spatial analysis, data analysis, and mapmaking.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively and with other personnel, corporate departments, as well as, with external contractors.

  • May perform other related duties as needed.

  • Proficient knowledge of GIS data types, GPS collection, relational and spatial databases, spatial analysis, data analysis, web maps and applications, and cartography.

  • Some knowledge of pipeline related design and terminology, or equivalent working experience.
