Job description

Position Overview

Little Fuse Psychiatric Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselors to join our team. As a full-time Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work remotely from Arlington, Texas, delivering telehealth services to clients. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting psycho-social assessments, developing personalized care plans, and providing both individual and family therapy. This role is essential in promoting mental well-being and ensuring our clients receive the highest quality care.

About the Organization

Little Fuse Psychiatric Services is a forward-thinking organization committed to improving mental health outcomes for individuals and families. We embrace a collaborative approach, working closely with clients, their families, healthcare providers, and community resources. Our goal is to deliver accessible and effective mental health services, harnessing the benefits of telehealth to reach those in need regardless of geographical limitations.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible and remote work environment, allowing you to engage with clients effectively from the comfort of your home. You will utilize advanced telehealth technology to manage patient cases, develop treatment plans, and conduct therapy sessions virtually. We prioritize work-life balance and provide you with the tools to deliver excellent care without the overhead of traditional practice expenses.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. You will actively modify treatment plans to reflect any changes in patient status and needs.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and their families, conducting assessments to identify their mental health needs, and determining the best course of treatment.
  • Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop comprehensive discharge plans that guarantee continuity of care and support clients’ ongoing mental health journeys.
  • Maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations alongside the standards set forth by our clinical program.
  • Performing social work consultations and interventions, offering support to clients during crises or bereavement, and helping them navigate the complexities of their conditions.
  • Actively advocating for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and coordination across various healthcare settings.
  • Identifying patients who may be at risk for delayed care or complications, facilitating coordination with other stakeholders to address these issues promptly.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Mental Health Counselor role primarily focuses on a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various complicated emotional and behavioral issues. You will engage with families to enhance their understanding of mental health issues and support them in navigating their loved ones' treatment.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Your educational background will be verified as part of our hiring process.
  • Current state licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or as a Psychologist.
  • A strong familiarity with community mental health resources and services available for referrals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective rapport building with clients and collaboration with team members.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a telehealth setting, demonstrating your ability to adapt traditional counseling practices to a virtual environment.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and understanding the dynamics involved in coordinating care for complex cases.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to mental health treatment and telehealth services.
Compensation and Benefits

At Little Fuse Psychiatric Services, we are proud to offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually. In addition to the salary, we provide a sign-on bonus of up to $1,000. Our compensation package also includes:

  • The convenience of using a single app to manage cases and write client notes, improving your workflow and efficiency.
  • Flexible working hours that accommodate your schedule and allow you to engage with clients at their convenience.
  • No overhead costs associated with traditional practice, as we handle insurance verification and marketing, so you can focus exclusively on your clients.
  • Our platform is HIPAA-compliant, ensuring the security and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Opportunities for additional income based on your caseload, giving you the flexibility to determine your workload.
Career Growth Opportunities

Joining Little Fuse Psychiatric Services opens the door to numerous professional development opportunities. You will access resources for continuous education, participate in peer feedback sessions, and stay current with best practices in mental health care. We encourage our counselors to pursue further licensure or specialized certifications that align with their career aspirations.
