Job description

Furniture Mover / Floor Tech

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
No Wednesdays | No Weekends
Onboarding: Virtual / Remote Recruiting

LaborMax Staffing is currently hiring dependable Furniture Movers / Floor Techs to assist a professional cleaning crew at learning centers, childcare facilities, and other commercial locations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Move furniture and classroom items to one side of the room so the cleaning crew can perform deep cleaning
  • Move rocking chairs, bookshelves, children's toys, and similar items
  • Return all furniture and items to their exact original locations once cleaning is completed
  • Take before-and-after photos using your personal cell phone
  • Perform repetitive moving, bending, walking, and repositioning throughout the shift
  • Work alongside a professional cleaning crew to keep projects moving efficiently
  • Employees are permitted to listen to music while working

Physical Requirements

This position does not typically involve extremely heavy lifting, but it does require significant repetitive movement throughout the shift. Applicants should be comfortable being on their feet, bending, moving furniture, and performing the same types of movements repeatedly.

Requirements

  • Must be dependable and able to follow instructions
  • Must have a working cell phone capable of taking photos
  • Must be able to perform repetitive physical work
  • Must be able to work around childcare and learning-center environments
  • Background screening is required due to the environments where work is performed
  • Certain offenses involving children or sexual offenses will disqualify applicants
