About the Role:
Furniture Mart is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Furniture Associate to join our team in New Orleans, LA! In this role, you'll help customers find the perfect pieces to make their house a home while working in a dynamic, people-first retail environment. If you have a passion for design, sales, and delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers on the showroom floor, providing personalized furniture recommendations
  • Drive retail sales by understanding customer needs, preferences, and budget
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge of furniture inventory, materials, and styles
  • Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and delivery teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom floor
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and follow-ups to ensure satisfaction
  • Assist in setting uo furniture displays
Requirements:
  • Prior retail sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to meet and exceed individual and team sales goals
  • Basic computer proficiency, including POS and inventory systems
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light product staging
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
