Job description

Title: Furniture Movers - Distribution

Summary: Assist clients, donors, and other volunteers with moving furniture and other items into moving trucks.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload vehicles.
  • Inspect items for health and safety issues (e.g., stains, rips, broken or missing parts, mold, infestations, etc...).
  • Move items to appropriate locations
  • Display items carefully and neatly keeping aisles clear.
  • Assemble items or label separate parts clearly.
  • Take trash/recycling to appropriate dumpster
  • Pack tightly.
  • Keep all client and donor information confidential.
  • Work safely:
    • Utilize safety equipment (gloves, safety glasses, hand trucks, etc.)
    • Ask for help when needed
    • Know your own limitations.

Qualifications:

  • Able to lift 50 pounds

Availability:

  • Monday through Saturday
  • Saturday afternoons especially needed

2 shifts available:

  • 08:45 to 12:00 EST
  • 12:45 to 16:00 EST
