About the Role:

Furniture Mart is looking for a hardworking and dependable Furniture Warehouse Associate to join our team in Gretna, LA! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in keeping our warehouse running smoothly and getting quality furniture into the hands of our customers. If you love staying active, working with a team, and take pride in a job well done โ€” we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Receive, unload, and inspect incoming furniture shipments for accuracy and damage

Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in a clean, orderly, and efficient manner

Pick, pack, and prepare furniture orders for customer pickup or delivery

Load and unload delivery trucks safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment

Assist with furniture assembly and product staging as needed

Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment

Requirements:

Previous warehouse, logistics, or furniture experience preferred

Ability to lift and move heavy items (50โ€“100+ lbs) regularly

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification a plus

Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Team-oriented with good communication skills

High school diploma or GED preferred
