Are you retired, semi-retired, or simply looking to pick up hours on occasion? Join Sauder's Security Team and play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure environment for our employees and operations.
We're building a pool of on-demand security team members who can step in to provide coverage for vacations, call-offs, and peak needs. This is a flexible opportunity with the ability to work across all shifts. Training will be scheduled at times that work best for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patrol the Sauder campus by vehicle and on foot to ensure safety and security.
  • Observe and report safety, fire hazards, and unusual activity.
  • Open and secure facilities at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Monitor weather conditions and fire systems; initiate sheltering or evacuation procedures when needed.
  • Support weekly start-up activities, including pre-heating and equipment readiness.
  • Respond to emergencies and non-emergency situations, including assisting with employee incidents and transportation needs.
  • Operate video surveillance and security systems.
  • Log incoming truck traffic.
  • Weigh inbound and outbound trucks and complete required documentation.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls for Sauder and its subsidiaries.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support safety and security operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous law enforcement and/or security experience is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Comfortable using technology (computers, radios, surveillance systems).
  • Ability to work a highly flexible, on-call schedule across shifts
  • Calm, sound decision-making in emergency situations
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to complete required safety and certification training

PAY SUMMARY
Starting at approximately $16/hour, with final offer based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
