Job description

The Annual Giving apprentice provides hands-on experience supporting Flagler College's fundraising efforts throughout the spring semester with a focus on planning and implementation of Roar and Raise (April 8th and 9th). The student in this role will help with Roar and Raise initiatives, including meeting with student groups, securing student club participation, and reaching out to encourage their involvement. The intern will also help create, test, and update webpages on GiveCampus while supporting other projects that strengthen campus engagement and participation.

Student worker positions provide valuable on-campus employment opportunities that support departments while helping students develop professional skills. These roles are intended to enhance the student experience through meaningful work aligned with academic and career interests.

Minimum Requirements
  • Current Flagler College Student
  • Dependable and motivated with excellent telephone skills and a clear speaking voice.
  • Enthusiasm for Flagler, its mission and programs. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations or fundraising projects.
Working Hours
  • Apprenticeship shifts are Monday-Thursday for 3 hours each day.  We ask that a student commit to 2 days a week and exact hours are adjustable to accommodate class schedules.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Director of Annual Giving with outreach to students to encourage Roar and Raise participation.  This includes the following:
    1. Speaking with student groups and sending emails to encourage clubs to set up Roar and Raise pages
    2. Assist with student organization page creation on GiveCampus
    3. Working student events during Roar and Raise
  2. Make phone calls to alumni and parents to ask for Roar and Raise gifts
  3. Write thank you notes to donors showing appreciation for Roar and Raise gifts
  4. Creating graphics for use in emails and on the Roar and Raise website to promote giving
  5. Assist with short form video production to show giving impact and solicit gifts
  6. Other duties as assigned
