About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fund Accounting Supervisor to lead a team of fund accounting analysts. In this role, you will act as a key point of contact between the funds we service and their investment managers, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant fund accounting and reporting. You will be responsible for both the technical oversight of daily accounting operations and the professional development of your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of fund accounting analysts, providing day-to-day guidance and support
  • Review and approve daily Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, reconciliations, and related fund accounting deliverables
  • Ensure all accounting and reporting activities comply with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex accounting issues, researching and resolving discrepancies as they arise
  • Act as a liaison between the funds and their investment managers, addressing day-to-day inquiries and building strong client relationships
  • Oversee dividend distributions, revenue packages, and other fund administration deliverables
  • Conduct performance appraisals and regular one-on-ones with team members; support career development and training plans
  • Assist with staffing needs, including participation in interviews and onboarding of new team members
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement best practices within the team
  • Ensure deadlines are consistently met while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality control

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or a related financial services role
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of fund accounting principles, NAV calculations, and GAAP
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting/reporting systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong client service orientation and attention to detail
