Job description

Job Title: AEM Technical Analyst
Location: New York, NY
Work Type: Onsite
Duration: 12+ Months
Employment Type: Contract

Overview
We're seeking an experienced Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Technical Analyst to support enterprise technology delivery initiatives. This role sits between business needs and technical execution — making sure AEM solutions are well-designed, delivered on time, and maintained cleanly. The right candidate pairs deep AEM knowledge with sharp analytical thinking and hands-on delivery across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and AEM development teams.
  • Break down business and functional requirements and convert them into technical specs for AEM solutions.
  • Support the design, build, configuration, and deployment of AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations.
  • Advise on AEM best practices spanning architecture, performance, security, and scalability.
  • Work alongside UX, QA, DevOps, and content teams to keep the end-to-end solution aligned.
  • Help wire up integrations between AEM and external systems — APIs, analytics, personalization tools, and DAMs.
  • Support content migration, authoring workflows, and publishing processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve AEM issues across dev, QA, and production.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Uphold enterprise standards, accessibility guidelines, and governance frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years with AEM (AEM 6.x / AEM as a Cloud Service).
  • Solid grasp of AEM architecture — Sites, Assets, DAM, workflows, and OSGi.
  • Hands-on with Sling, JCR, HTL (Sightly), and REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with front-end tech — HTML, CSS, JavaScript; basic React is a plus.
  • Track record gathering and documenting technical and functional requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

  • Adobe certifications (AEM Developer, Architect, or Business Practitioner).
  • Exposure to Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, or other Adobe Experience Cloud tools.
  • CI/CD pipeline experience and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
