Job description

Position Overview

Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Sr Technical Analyst in Whippany, NJ. This role is responsible for designing and configuring technical solutions to support both new development/implementations and enhancements of business and software applications. 

The Technical Analyst is responsible for developing a deep knowledge of business areas, IT applications, and enterprise integrations. This role will conduct solutioning sessions, document current and to-be systems flows, and create detailed functional and technical documentation and user stories to support the development team. S/he will be hands-on with purchased software solutions including configuring applications and performing light development/enhancement in business applications. The Sr Technical Analyst will partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Business users and development teams to deliver overall solutions including validating/testing. With the deep knowledge of the applications and integrations, the Technical Analyst will be able to come up with viable technical solutions to complex business requests and ensure that the business and technical teams are both aligned on the solution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partnering closely with the product and technical teams, developing detailed user stories, functional requirements and technical specification documentation, ensuring there is alignment between all teams on the solution, supporting the project/ enhancement deployment and transitioning to and assisting the Production support teams for the areas of responsibility assigned
  • Configure and customize purchased software solutions to meet business requirements. 
  • Assisting Product Manager and/or Scrum Master in the development of detailed project plans and work assignments as well as lead and manage small project/change implementations. 
  • Assist in the ongoing review and maintenance of technical support documentation to reflect newly discovered issues or improvements in the relevant systems.
  • Continually improve personal knowledge and skills relevant to current enterprise application architecture and integrations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or substantiated equivalent business experience 
  • 5-8 years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) and/or JDE World experience configuring, implementing, and supporting the application
  • 3-5 years of experience working within Vertex and integrations from and to Vertex.
  • Hands on experience in requirements gathering, design, development, and testing of ERP applications.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting functional and technical requirements
  • Excellent SQL query skills and strong familiarity navigating database structures and integration design documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross functional departments in requirements sessions
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent business process knowledge across the following: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Sales Audit, Financial Reconciliation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - proven ability to analyze complex data/requirements and develop recommendations and solutions
  • Ability to work independently and recommend industry-best practices based on business requirements
  • Experience working in a global and offshore operating model
  • Experience working on projects and production support simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate, partner and liaison effectively with business users, stakeholders, product managers and development team a must.
  • Samples of design documents as well as operational documentation may be requested.
  • Sensitivity to the multi-cultural characteristics of a global IT organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Agile and/or SDLC experience
  • Experience in other technology platforms - Microsoft Business Central, Coupa, Blackline, Dataiku, Power BI
  • Experience with global & luxury brands
  • Previous experience working on large transformational initiatives / re-platforms
  • Experience in project management activities.
  • Experience with developing and executing test plans, including unit testing, leveraging test driven development methodologies (desirable)
  • Experience writing use cases

The hiring range for this position ranges from $111,000- $151,000. The salary offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
