Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager with a strong background in software development within the healthcare space. This role will focus on managing projects involving software engineering, data engineering, and data analysis teams to deliver innovative solutions for healthcare research and patient data management. The ideal candidate is familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and possesses a proven track record in creating and executing detailed project plans that align with business goals and regulatory requirements in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning & Execution:
o Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timeline, resources, risks, and deliverables for healthcare software projects.
o Coordinate cross-functional teams including software engineers, data engineers, and data analysts.
o Implement agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to facilitate iterative progress and rapid delivery.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration:
o Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
o Mentor and guide team members to ensure adherence to best practices and project objectives.
o Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams, healthcare research professionals, and executive leadership.
o Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and recommend proactive solutions.
o Liaise with regulatory, compliance, and quality assurance teams to ensure that patient data and healthcare research protocols meet industry standards.
• Risk & Quality Management:
o Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
o Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
o Utilize SDLC best practices to manage project changes, scope adjustments, and timeline modifications.
• Reporting & Documentation:
o Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project charters, status reports, and retrospective analyses.
o Provide regular updates and actionable insights to senior management.
o Ensure transparency and accountability through detailed project tracking and documentation.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Business Management, or a related field.
o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) preferred.
Experience:
o Proven experience managing projects through the full SDLC, particularly in the healthcare software space.
o Demonstrated expertise in agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams.
o Hands-on experience working with software engineers, data engineers, and data analysts.
o Background in healthcare research, managing patient data, or developing healthcare software solutions.
Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:
