Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead strategic Revenue Cycle transformation initiatives focused on financial performance improvement, operational efficiency, and AI-enabled process modernization. This individual will provide program-level leadership across multiple concurrent projects and collaborate closely with executive stakeholders, operational leaders, IT teams, and revenue cycle subject matter experts.

The ideal candidate will possess deep healthcare revenue cycle expertise, extensive experience leading large-scale Epic Revenue Cycle initiatives, and a demonstrated track record of successfully implementing process improvement, automation, and technology-driven transformation programs. This role will play a critical part in evaluating and deploying innovative AI solutions to improve coding accuracy, claims processing efficiency, revenue optimization, and overall workflow performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Project Leadership
  • Lead enterprise-wide Revenue Cycle programs and projects from initiation through implementation and operational stabilization.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, project plans, milestones, risk registers, and governance frameworks.
  • Establish project management best practices and ensure consistent execution across initiatives.
Revenue Cycle Transformation
  • Assess, design, and optimize revenue cycle processes to improve operational efficiency, financial performance, and reimbursement outcomes.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle leadership to identify opportunities for workflow enhancements, process automation, and technology adoption.
  • Drive initiatives focused on claims management, reimbursement optimization, coding efficiency, and revenue capture improvement.
  • Support organizational efforts to modernize revenue cycle operations in response to workforce and operational challenges.
AI & Automation Initiatives
  • Lead evaluation, selection, pilot execution, and implementation of AI-driven Revenue Cycle solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and intelligent workflow optimization across revenue cycle functions.
  • Manage third-party vendor engagements and pilot programs involving AI technologies and revenue cycle platforms.
  • Support implementation and optimization of solutions such as RevSpring and other emerging Revenue Cycle technologies.
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
  • Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, operational stakeholders, IT teams, and vendor partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO, Revenue Cycle leadership, IT Revenue Cycle teams, and business operations executives.
  • Deliver executive-level communications, presentations, status updates, and strategic recommendations.
  • Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment across complex initiatives.
Epic Revenue Cycle Optimization
  • Partner with Epic application teams to optimize existing Revenue Cycle workflows and system capabilities.
  • Lead projects involving Epic Hospital Billing (HB), Professional Billing (PB), and Patient Access functions.
  • Drive implementation of Epic enhancements and integration opportunities that support operational and financial objectives.
  • Ensure system optimization efforts align with organizational revenue improvement strategies.
Performance & Governance
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial outcomes, operational efficiency, and system performance.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and project reviews.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and barriers to successful delivery and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support organizational change management efforts and ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare project or program management experience.
  • Significant experience managing large-scale Revenue Cycle projects within healthcare organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, claims management, reimbursement processes, and revenue optimization strategies.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change and achieve measurable business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience managing Epic Revenue Cycle initiatives.

Pay and Benefits
