Job Overview

Caliber Construction Service Inc is seeking an experienced and driven Jobsite Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil grading and underground dry utility projects. This role is responsible for full jobsite leadership — overseeing safety, quality, schedule performance, and overall profitability.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader who understands production rates, cost control, and how to execute complex civil projects in remote environments. This position requires ownership from project startup through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and under budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day field operations on civil grading and underground dry utility projects

  • Supervise field crews, operators, subcontractors, and vendors

  • Enforce safety policies and ensure full OSHA and company compliance

  • Conduct daily jobsite meetings and maintain complete site documentation

  • Oversee quality control to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and client expectations

  • Coordinate with Project Managers to maintain production goals and schedule milestones

  • Monitor labor, equipment, and material costs to ensure project profitability

  • Track production rates and adjust resources to maintain budget targets

  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues

  • Maintain professional communication with clients, inspectors, and internal leadership

  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and under budget

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in heavy civil construction

  • Strong background in mass grading, earthwork, and underground dry utilities

  • Proven experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors

  • Demonstrated understanding of production tracking and cost control

  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications

  • Strong leadership, organization, and decision-making skills

  • Comfortable working in remote project environments

Compensation & Benefits
