Description
An established industrial organization is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Business Development Manager to develop new business and expand market presence across North America.
This role is focused on technical sales of electrical actuation, valve automation, process control, and related industrial solutions. The ideal candidate has a proven record of generating revenue, managing complex sales cycles, and building relationships with distributors, OEMs, EPC firms, system integrators, and industrial end users
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned markets and territories.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.
  • Build relationships with distributors, OEMs, EPC firms, and end users.
  • Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site evaluations.
  • Review technical specifications and recommend appropriate actuation solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and bid responses.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast activity through CRM systems.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience in industrial automation, valve automation, process control, instrumentation, or related industrial technologies, including experience with electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuators.
  • Proven success achieving sales goals in a technical B2B environment.
  • Experience working with industrial distributors, OEMs, EPC firms, or end users.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Strong business development, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% throughout North America.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
