Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and tailor suitable treatment plans.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience in patients.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing trauma, developing vital coping strategies, and promoting healing.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and effective communication regarding patient progress.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stability.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources for ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Engage in professional development through case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training in trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay updated with current research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be primarily on individuals who have encountered significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, natural disasters, or severe accidents. By applying your specialized skills and knowledge, you will help these individuals navigate their unique paths to healing, ensuring they receive the personal and empathetic care they need.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, ideally with a focus on trauma recovery.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.
  • Proven track record in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities combined with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.
