Position Overview

The Miracles of Life Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Trauma-Informed Mental Health Therapist. This role will focus on providing high-quality, specialized mental health care for individuals who have experienced trauma.

Work Environment

This position offers a remote work setting, enabling you to provide care from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of a supportive team. At our clinic, we foster collaboration and communication among our staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and trauma histories.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and patient empowerment.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that assist patients in processing their trauma and cultivating coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to patients during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families on the effects of trauma and effective coping strategies to foster understanding and resilience.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that meets all legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
  • Commit to continual professional development by staying informed about the latest research and therapeutic approaches in trauma therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse clientele of individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your approach will emphasize empathy, understanding, and culturally sensitive practices, as you help patients navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health therapy, particularly in trauma-informed care settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practices.
  • Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and resilience-building strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
