Job description

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join a fast-growing and exciting team serving clients in the stunning high desert and mountain region of the Southwestern US. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing design work on transmission lines from 34kV and up. You will work closely with clients, possibly in an embedded capacity, and be supported by a diverse team of engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of power.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze transmission line systems, including structures, conductors, and foundations.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Utilize advanced software tools for modeling and simulation of transmission line performance.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and best practices.

  • This position pays between $90K and $130K annually and is an exempt position.
  • Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of engineering experience related to transmission line projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • EIT or ability to obtain
  • Experience with transmission line design and analysis software (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and structural engineering principles.
