Potential opportunity to go temp to full-time.

The CAD Graphic Designer specializes in creating detailed CADs for boys' apparel, utilizing various print techniques such as all-over prints, placements, screen prints, and embroideries. They are responsible for scanning and cleaning purchased artwork, creating repeats that adhere to factory specifications, and assisting in the development of CAD assortment sheets for Sales. Additionally, they research and interpret textile and print trends to align with each brand's identity, while collaborating closely with the Design team to ensure successful project outcomes. The designer also manages timely responses to requests, recolors prints based on seasonal needs, and prepares artwork for production and development.

Responsibilities

  • Create skillfully executed CADs for boy's apparel, understanding the commercial print market
  • Works with CADs - filling the bodies with all over prints, placement prints, screen prints, embroideries,, and woven yarn dye patterns (plaids, stripes and jacquards). Scan and clean bought artwork, create repeats to factory specifications for apparel
  • Assist in creation of CAD assortment sheets for Sales
  • Research and interpret print and textile trends appropriately for each brand
  • Work proactively with all members of Design, supporting and developing business relationships to ensure successful results at all levels of the product
  • Turn around requests in a timely manner
  • Recolor prints based on season and account needs
  • Package & prepare artwork for production and development

Requirements

  • Degree in Fashion Design or Graphic Design (apparel/accessory focus)
  • 4+ years with full-time professional CAD/Graphic design experience using Photoshop, Illustrator; NedGraphics is a plus
  • Capable of taking and following direction from manager
  • Understanding of commercial fabric printing/production processes, including repeats, factory limitations, and color separations
  • Familiarity with PLM systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of copyright related to textile design, including reworking art for legal compliance
  • Strong color and print sensibility with an eye for detail
  • Ability to create commercially viable designs in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and prioritization
  • Solid communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Flexible, organized, and a proactive team player
  • Strong accountability and commitment to delivering results

Hybrid Work Schedule

3 days a week in the office, 2 work from home

New York Pay Rate $70,000.00 - $80,000.00
