Job Duties:
This position reports daily to the Ellis Bus Repair Facility. Your duties include overseeing inmate work on assigned tasks, ensuring both the quality and quantity of finished products, and maintaining machinery and equipment. You'll provide job'safety training to inmates, maintain the security of tools, machinery, and equipment, and prepare reports and other related documentation.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You have one year of full'time automotive repair experience or two years of full'time experience in any production or manufacturing operation, and you also have correctional or law enforcement experience.
You'd be a GREAT fit if:
You have solid knowledge of methods, procedures, and problem'solving techniques used in automotive repair, along with experience applying quality¿control standards and understanding workflow in a manufacturing environment. You communicate clearly and can explain ideas and instructions to staff, administration, and workers throughout the facility. Any welding certifications or related credentials would be a plus.
