Job description

Job Type
Full-time
Description
Build Something That Doesn't Exist Yet
Territory Sales Manager - Swine (Montana)
At Van Beek Natural Science, we don't hand over books of business. We build markets.
We are looking for a driven, competitive sales professional to take ownership of Montana's swine territory and turn it into a high-performing revenue engine from the ground up. This is a true market development role, not account maintenance.
If you thrive on creating opportunity where none exists, opening doors, and turning cold prospects into long-term partners, this is where you prove it.
What You'll Own
You are the face of Van Beek Natural Science in Montana. Your job is simple in concept, challenging in execution: build a territory, create demand, and drive revenue.
You will:
  • Develop and execute a 12-month territory launch strategy with clear revenue target
  • Identify and penetrate top swine producers, integrators, and production systems
  • Build your own pipeline through relentless prospecting and relationship building
  • Establish credibility with nutritionists, veterinarians, and production leaders
  • Convert opportunities into long-term, expanding customer relationships

This role requires urgency, consistency, and discipline. Success doesn't come from waiting; it comes from action.
How You'll Win
This is a sales-first role. The individuals who succeed here do a few things exceptionally well:
They prospect aggressively
  • Cold calls, on-farm visits, and direct outreach are part of your daily routine
  • You create opportunities instead of waiting for them

They build influence
  • You develop trust with decision-makers, influencers, and technical stakeholders
  • You position solutions that complement nutrition and veterinary programs

They close and expand
  • You move prospects through the full sales cycle
  • You secure early adopters and turn them into long-term growth accounts

They stay visible in the market
  • You host producer events, roundtables, and educational sessions
  • You represent the brand at industry events and turn conversations into pipeline

What Success Looks Like
Within your first year:
  • You've built a consistent, qualified pipeline
  • You've secured early adopters and key influencer accounts
  • The Montana swine market recognizes Van Beek Natural Science as a credible partner
  • Territory revenue is growing and positioned to scale

Long term, you turn an untapped region into a sustainable growth engine.
What You Bring
  • A proven track record of building or expanding sales territories
  • Confidence in cold outreach and generating your own pipeline
  • Ability to convert new prospects into long-term customers
  • Experience working with or selling into swine production, animal health, or agriculture
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and operational stakeholders
  • Self-discipline and resilience, especially in environments with little existing infrastructure

Connections within Montana's swine, nutrition, or veterinary networks are a strong advantage.
Why This Role Stands Out
  • You're not inheriting a territory, you're building one
  • You have real autonomy and ownership over your success
  • Your impact is visible, measurable, and directly tied to growth
  • You help shape how Van Beek Natural Science shows up in a new market
