Job description

Job Summary:
The Laboratory Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within their assigned laboratory department(s), ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires working directly on the bench, assisting with technical questions, and supporting staff as needed. The Laboratory Operations Supervisor will help coordinate work assignments, training, and workflow management to maintain seamless operations. This position requires flexibility to cover different shifts when necessary to support department needs.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, or chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of Laboratory training and/or experience with at least 4 years of high complexity testing experience
  • Must be a MT(ASCP) or MLS certified or be MLT(ASCP) certified with a Bachelor's degree in science.
  • Must meet the requirement for General Supervisor under CLIA 88
  • 6 years' experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
  • 2 years full-time supervisor experience or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a lead technologist role.
