ย CRCC is a local non-profit, PSLF eligible organization dedicated to providing comprehensive education, nursing, and therapy wrapped services to children of all abilities to help them reach their highest potential. ย We are looking for two Full-Time Speech Language Pathologists. One to work at our NW Center located off of 88th and Blondo Street and the other to work at our SW Center located off of 138th and Q Street!


Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for:ย 

  • ย Assessing, treating, and helping prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communication, swallowing, and fluency.ย 
  • ย Identifying and providing therapeutic intervention for clients with communication problems related to deficits in expressive and receptive language, memory, attention, and problem solving. ย 
  • ย When appropriate, selects alternative forms of communication via sign language, low tech devices, and high-tech augmentative communication devices.
  • ย Ensures staff and families understand and follow results of medical tests and interventions related to swallow studies, surgeries, and changes in medications. ย 
  • Communicates client needs as part of a team compiled of family, classroom staff and peers.
  • Reviews client records in order to determine necessary speech and language services (screen, evaluation, and continued treatment).


Speech Language Pathologist Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to stay calm and poised in challenging situations.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in a clear and comprehensive manner both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and take direction from others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be in good health.

Requirements

ย Minimum Qualifications for Speech Language Pathologist

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school.
  • Current active license in state of Nebraska.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Medical experience preferred.
  • Able to meet agency's conditions of employment regarding health status and clearance with the Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry and/or Adult Abuse/Neglect Registry and the Nebraska State Patrol.
