POSITION AVAILABLE: ALC Paraprofessional
POSITION LOCATION: Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC) with placement at the ALC - Pipestone located in Pipestone, MN.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The Special Education Paraprofessional provides assistance to children, teachers &/or mental health professional/practitioner in providing an appropriate, safe learning environment to students enrolled in special educational programs. Some students may have challenging behaviors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Passing score (80% or better) on SWWC Level 1 skills assessment; passing score must be obtained by the end of the introductory period to continue employment;
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Criminal background check will be conducted on successful applicant.

SALARY: Paraprofessionals start at $20.00/hour and up, depending upon education, qualifications and experience; includes benefits. Working 6.5 hours per day with a 30-minute duty free lunch break, working Monday - Friday.
