About Driveline Softball
Driveline Softball is a data-driven softball player development organization, co-founded by OGX and Driveline Baseball. We harness the power of data and the science of human performance to continuously enhance training methodologies and equip the softball community with information that gives athletes data-empowered autonomy over their career trajectories. We work with athletes from youth through professional levels through assessments, individualized programming, biomechanics, and consulting partnerships with college programs.
This role joins our growing team as we open our Scottsdale location in summer 2026. Scottsdale is one of our newest locations, with the right candidate helping shape the team and culture from the ground up.
Role Overview
The Pitching Coach will learn and apply Driveline Softball's athlete development philosophy, training systems, and athlete management processes. This is a hands-on, collaborative role involving daily in-gym coaching, remote athlete oversight, and ongoing collaboration with our pitching, hitting, strength & conditioning, and sport science teams. This position is ideal for a coach who wants to grow within a high-performance environment and contribute to the continued development of Driveline Softball's training systems - at one of our newest locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate athlete training programs in-gym (typical hours: afternoons, evenings, weekends)
  • Implement pitching assessments and athlete debriefs
  • Write and oversee individualized training programs for remote athletes
  • Collaborate with sport science staff to improve training outcomes and processes
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and internal education opportunities
  • Support athlete onboarding and ongoing athlete management
  • Contribute to Driveline Softball's social media presence as part of the coaching role
Required Skills & Attributes
  • Strong understanding of pitching mechanics and general human movement
  • Ability to work with athletes across a wide age range (10-22+)
  • Confidence managing multiple athletes on the floor simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with athletes
  • Willingness to learn and apply data-informed coaching methods
  • Comfort working within structured systems and evolving protocols
  • Computer literate; proficient with Google Docs and Sheets
  • High level of professionalism, curiosity, and desire for growth
  • Experience in hitting, strength & conditioning, biomechanics, or sport science is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements
This role requires frequent physical activity, including walking, standing, demonstrating exercises, throwing and pitching movements, bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and squatting on a daily basis.
Growth Opportunities
Driveline Softball offers clear opportunities for professional growth, including advancement into senior coaching, education, consulting, and leadership roles as the organization expands. The Scottsdale location is one of our newest, and the right candidate will help shape the team and culture from the ground up.
