Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Marine Electricians to support critical electrical installations, maintenance, and system modernization near Seattle, WA. This role involves working onboard U.S. Navy surface ships, Military Sealift Command (MSC), and commercial vessels.
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex low-voltage electrical systems, control panels, and fire safety systems. If you have a background in shipboard electrical repair or served as a Navy Electrician’s Mate (EM), we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities & Work Tasks
  • System Installation: Route, pull, and terminate copper cable assemblies and multi-pin connectors for shipboard power, communications, and alarm systems.
  • Specialized Wiring: Install and terminate fiber optic cables, junction boxes, electrical control panels, and wiring harnesses for critical shipboard safety systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose, maintain, and repair engineering and combat systems onboard marine vessels.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read, interpret, and work from complex marine schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with multi-pin copper connectors, fiber optics, and advanced marine electrical troubleshooting.
  • Base Access: Must be eligible to obtain required shipyard and military base access credentials (such as DBIDS badge eligibility for localized naval facilities).
  • Security Clearance: An active DoD Security Clearance is a major advantage, or the ability to successfully pass a background check to obtain one.
  • Tools of the Trade: Must possess a working knowledge of the portable power tools, hand tools, and multi-meters required to accomplish marine electrical work.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Industrial Setting: Work takes place in a heavy industrial shipyard environment, both in a shop setting and onboard vessels in active repair zones.
  • Confined Spaces & Heights: Ability to work comfortably in cramped spaces, tight shipboard compartments, and at heights from ladders or scaffolding.
  • PPE Mandate: Full compliance with all mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and safety harnesses as required.
Benefits:
  • Health insurance
