Overnight Shipyard Security Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Job Summary
We have an immediate need for professional minded Oregon Armed Certified Security Officers for ongoing Vessel protection assignments.

The duties are performed in Portland, OR while the vessel is at berth. Hours of operation are 24 hours per day / 7 days per week. Successful Candidates MUST HAVE an ACTIVE/CURRENT Oregon Armed Security License. As this is a position working with the US Government you must also have a Non-Expired US Passport or US Birth Certificate to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Providing Access Control Points to several US military assets while at berth.
• Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Though there are guard shacks at various stations, this position may require you to be in the elements for long periods at times and there a foot patrols that must be completed.
• Must be able to communicate well via phone, radio, and written reports.
• Monitor Access control computer screens for People coming and going from vessels and gates.
• Must communicate and work well with others as you will be working alongside several other security officers and shipyard personnel that are in close proximity throughout the day.
• This is a customer service attitude environment so we will need the security personnel to put their best foot forward to be courteous and pleasant when interacting with visitors and other shipyard staff.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 1 year experience as an OR DPSST Licensed Armed Security Officer.
• Ability to utilize various Security Officer Reporting App's such as TrackTik
• We see 50-100 persons a day from all walks of life so you must be personable, and able to work well with others.
• Attention to detail is a must.
