JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the surgeon and the Circulating Nurse and overall direction of the Assistant Managers, OR Manager, Director of Surgical Services and Vice President of Patient Care Services the Certified Surgical Technician (CST) assists in the nursing care and presentation of the surgical patient. The CST handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. The CST has the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Up to $25,000 Sign-on bonus or $15,000 in Student Loan Repayment!*
Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)
Typical Hours: Day shift, 10 hours/shift, on call rotation
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED- required
License/Certification:
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST)- required
- BLS- required
Experience:
- Experience within a Surgical Technician role or completion of a hands-on Surgical Tech training/course- required.
