Job description

OUR GOAL:
Treat our consultants and clients the way we would like others to treat us!
Interested in joining our team? Check out the opportunity below and apply today!
Contract opening in New York, NY for a Solution Architect, CRM & Digital Marketing. This is a highly technical, hands-on role responsible for the architecture, stability, and ongoing build-out of a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a hybrid of technologist and project manager: someone who can be trusted to keep day-to-day campaign operations running flawlessly while simultaneously architecting new automations, journeys, and experiences requested by the business.
onsite full time
Hours: 9am to 6pm
Responsibilities:
  • This will be a technical focused solutions architect, this will have some functional included as they are taking business requirements and translating them into technical solutions. They should be able to operate as a project manager and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Own the day-to-day operational health of all SFMC campaigns, automations, and journeys — proactively monitoring sends, data flows, and triggers to ensure everything is running as expected, and troubleshooting/resolving issues before they impact the business.
  • Architect, build, and deploy new automations, triggered journeys, and personalized customer experiences in Journey Builder and Automation Studio, using AMPScript, SQL, and (where needed) SSJS.
  • Act as the primary technical project manager across multiple simultaneous requests from CRM, Retention, Product, Data, and Creative teams — triaging priority, scoping technical feasibility, and managing timelines in a fast-paced, always-on streaming environment.
  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable data model within SFMC (Contact Builder, Data Extensions, Audience Builder), partnering closely with Data Engineering on data integrity and flow.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for integration issues between SFMC and adjacent platforms (Marketing Cloud Connect, APIs, mobile push providers, CDPs).
  • Partner with Engineering and Data teams to scope and implement new SFMC-adjacent integrations that support business and personalization goals.
  • Establish and document technical standards, build patterns, and QA protocols for SFMC development to ensure consistency, scalability, and auditability across the platform.
  • Evaluate new SFMC features, tools, and capabilities and make recommendations on adoption to improve efficiency and campaign performance.
  • Provide informal technical guidance and troubleshooting support to CRM marketers and analysts, helping the broader team understand what's technically possible within the platform (no direct reports, but close day-to-day collaboration with marketers, engineers, and analysts).
  • Partner with the Senior Director on technical roadmap planning and scoping for new CRM and lifecycle initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience specifically as a Solution Architect (or equivalent senior technical CRM role), with deep, hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise.
  • Expert-level proficiency across core SFMC modules: Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder, and Data Extensions.
  • Strong hands-on scripting ability in AMPScript and SQL; working knowledge of SSJS is a plus.
  • Experience working with the SFMC API and integrating Marketing Cloud with external systems (CDPs, mobile push, data warehouses, etc.).
  • Proven ability to project manage and prioritize competing requests from multiple teams simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and audience segmentation logic at scale.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Braze or other ESPs in addition to SFMC.
  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Hightouch, mParticle, Tealium).
  • Knowledgeable of email compliance and privacy legislation, both domestic and international (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, CCPA).
  • Experience in the streaming D2C industry.
  • Comfort operating in a live-content or sports-driven, high-velocity environment.
  • SFMC certification (Marketing Cloud Developer or Marketing Cloud Consultant) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the streaming, subscription, or D2C industry preferred.
  • Understanding steaming/subscription customer lifecycle is very helpful as they would know the KPIs or standard practices, but an eCommerce background could be sufficient.

Deal Breakers?
They will be operating independently and should be able to manage the technical and business with little oversite, should also be comfortable with a fast-pace, agile environment, as we are in a time of transformation. If they prefer a more rigid environment and are not working in a flexible environment, this would not be the best environment for them. Additionally, this role requires a high level of communication with staff at all levels in all global regions.
