Position Summary

The General Ledger (GL) Accountant at SAS is accountable for creating journal entries and assembling supporting documentation, as well as for tracking the contents of accounts, creating portions of the financial statements, writing related disclosures, and accounts receivable. The GL Accountant ensures completeness and accuracy of financial statements and related accounting activities and provides a variety of functional solutions in general ledger and accounts receivable.

  • Monthly/Quarterly/Annualbookclosingprocess.

  • PeriodicGLreconciliations,analyzeexpensefluctuations,inter-companybillings.

  • Respondandreportinginternal/externalaudits.

  • Preparationoffinancialstatementsandfootnotedisclosures.

  • In-chargeofHQrequiredsemi-annualphysicalinventory.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor'sdegreeinaccountingorequivalent.CPApreferredbutnotrequired.

  • MusthaveknowledgeofGAAPandIFRS;accountingexpertiserelatedtohedging,leases,cashflow,inventory,andmanufacturingaplus.

  • Abilitytounderstandtechnical,administrative,andfinancialsystems/interactions(e.g.Purchasing,Logistics,Manufacturing,Security,HR,Accounting,etc.).

  • IntermediatetoadvancedMicrosoftOfficesoftwareskills(Word,Excel,andPowerPoint).

  • Excellentorganizationalskillsandcommitmenttodeadlines.

The current base salary range for this role is between $73,000 - $135,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
