Roblox is in search of a Senior Finance Systems Associate to develop, administer, and support its financial modeling, planning, and reporting system. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Finance Systems Lead, FP&A team and cross-functional teams across Engineering, People, Finance Data, Accounting, and Business Operations Strategy. We are seeking an individual passionate about constructing complex financial models. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to efficiency, prioritize data integrity, and strive to provide systematic and scalable solutions to eliminate reliance on spreadsheets and manual workflows.
This full time position is based in San Mateo, CA (hybrid structure with 3 days onsite per week) and will report to the Finance Systems Lead.
You Will:
  • Architect and deploy sophisticated multi-dimensional models within Enterprise Planning and Management solution, Pigment, engineering for maximum scalability and computational efficiency.
  • Optimize existing model performance and calculation efficiency while ensuring seamless alignment with evolving business logic and stakeholder needs.
  • Manage end-to-end user access provisioning, implementing strict access controls to ensure reporting consistency.
  • Champion data integrity and dimensional standardization, prioritizing modular model designs that minimize technical debt.
  • Create intuitive dashboards and executive-level reporting frameworks that translate complex data into actionable strategic insights.
  • Drive organizational system adoption by developing a comprehensive set of training materials. Tailor enablement strategies to diverse end user proficiency levels, ensuring both technical "superuser" builders and non-technical "general" stakeholders are well supported to achieve operational goals.
  • Willingness to directly take on core finance duties, such as operating as a Finance Business Partner to gain deep domain empathy; leveraging this experience to build highly practical, user-centric financial models that solve core business challenges.
  • Experiment with emerging AI solutions to automate workflows, improve accuracy, and increase the velocity and scalability of Finance operations.

You Have:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Systems Expertise: 5+ years of experience architecting and managing major Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions-specifically Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive, or Hyperion.
  • Industry Context: Proven track record in high-growth SaaS environments or specialized technology consulting.
  • Preferred Certifications: Direct experience with Pigment or Anaplan Level 3 Certification (and above) is highly prioritized.
  • Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in data querying languages (SQL, Python) to manipulate complex datasets is a plus.
    • Experience with modern data visualization platforms (Hex, Tableau) to translate data into actionable business insights is a plus.
    • Expertise in Google Suite/Sheets for collaborative modeling and reporting.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep foundational understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and integrated systems.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

$156,020-$191,120 USD
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
