Long Valley Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time position plays a critical role in advancing the mental well-being of adults aged 18 and older who face challenges due to mental health disorders. As a part of our dynamic team, you will develop and implement innovative, client-centered treatment plans, ensuring that each client receives tailored support to achieve greater community stability and independence.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality clinical services, including individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Creating and implementing person-centered treatment plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Regularly assessing clients' treatment progress and making necessary adjustments to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Assisting clients in developing essential coping, problem-solving, and communication skills through evidence-based practices.
  • Providing education about community resources to ensure clients can access the support they need, acting as their advocate during the process.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients include individuals aged 18 or older who are facing various mental health challenges that hinder their ability to maintain community stability and independence. You will work closely with this diverse population, developing meaningful therapeutic alliances and addressing a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Your role will be pivotal in transforming their lives and fostering a connection to their communities.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), Mental Health Counseling (LPC), or Psychology.
  • A current, active state license as one of the following: LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).
  • The capability to practice independently without ongoing supervision.
  • No prior disciplinary actions on professional licenses.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.
  • A natural empathy and exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients swiftly.
  • Competency in utilizing technology for telehealth services and documentation.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your application:

  • Previous experience in providing direct clinical mental health services, particularly in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with community resources and an ability to integrate them into treatment plans.
  • Demonstrated ability in case management and developing individualized service plans.
  • Experience in leading skill-building workshops for clients or families.
