Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing an active caseload of clients, building rapport and maintaining professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • Conducting thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and diagnose conditions.
  • Developing, executing, and regularly monitoring individualized, person-centered treatment plans tailored to each clientโ€™s unique circumstances.
  • Meeting with clients consistently to assess their progress, address any challenges, and discuss upcoming appointments and potential discharge plans.
  • Documenting all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Engaging in individual supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills, receive feedback, and cultivate professional development.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients, addressing both immediate and ongoing mental health needs.
  • Maintaining a growth mindset to continually improve your practice and develop professionally.
