• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the unique mental health needs of each client.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to address the specific issues and goals of clients.
• Provide ongoing mental health education and support to clients and their families, equipping them with valuable coping strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, sharing insights and recommendations to enhance care coordination.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, utilizing telehealth platforms to document progress and treatment changes effectively.

Your clientele will consist of a diverse group of individuals dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological challenges. By focusing on personalized care, you will facilitate meaningful therapeutic relationships that enhance client engagement and promote recovery. Your role in advocating for clients and encouraging open dialogue will be foundational to achieving positive client outcomes.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Possess a current New York State license (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC) to practice independently.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a strong proficiency in using technology to engage clients effectively.

• At least two years of experience working in a mental health counseling role is desired.
• Experience in telehealth or remote counseling practices is a plus, as it fosters familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities that may arise in a virtual setting.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, will be beneficial.
