This remote position is uniquely focused on providing mental health support within a school setting, addressing the diverse needs of students facing various emotional and psychological challenges. This full-time remote role allows for considerable flexibility while providing therapeutic services primarily to students in a school environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' mental health symptoms, focusing on mood disorders and emotional well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily focus on students experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. The therapist will work with adolescents and young adults, fostering a safe space for them to express their feelings while guiding them in developing coping strategies that align with their personal goals and academic responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
  • Expertise in evidence-based mental health treatment modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
