Aramark Nexus is hiring a Recreation & Wellness Assistant Manager for Caprock Workforce Community, located outside Pampa, Texas. This full-time recreation, wellness, and events role supports guest activities, community programming, employee engagement, and daily recreation operations in a large residential workforce community.

The Recreation & Wellness Assistant Manager will report to the Recreation & Wellness Director and help bring recreation programming to life. While the Recreation & Wellness Director owns the overall strategy, calendar, partnerships, and programming direction, the Recreation & Wellness Assistant Manager plays a hands-on role in executing events, setting up activities, engaging guests, coordinating logistics, supporting wellness programs, and making sure each event runs smoothly.

This position is a strong fit for candidates with experience as a Recreation & Wellness Assistant Manager, Activities Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Recreation Coordinator, Guest Activities Supervisor, Wellness Coordinator, Community Engagement Coordinator, Resort Activities Coordinator, or Hospitality Events Supervisor.

This is an active, guest-facing role. The right candidate will be comfortable moving throughout the property, setting up and breaking down events, interacting with guests, coordinating supplies, supporting recreation spaces, and creating a positive, welcoming environment. Experience in events, hospitality, recreation, fitness, resorts, cruise activities, campus programming, community events, or guest engagement can translate well to this role.

Caprock is an all-inclusive workforce community where guests live, work, dine, and gather on site. The Recreation & Wellness Assistant Manager helps create a resort-style community experience by supporting activities, social events, wellness programs, fitness programming, volunteer events, and day-to-day recreation operations that help guests feel connected and supported.

As part of the Aramark Nexus team at Caprock, the Recreation & Wellness Assistant Manager helps support the daily guest experience by executing recreation, wellness, social, and community-building activities. This role helps create a fun, active, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and employees.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the Recreation & Wellness Director in executing recreation, wellness, fitness, social, employee engagement, and community events.
  • Help set up, run, and break down events, activities, programs, and gatherings across the Caprock community.
  • Assist with the weekly, monthly, and seasonal recreation and wellness calendar.
  • Engage guests during activities and help create a welcoming, energetic, and inclusive environment.
  • Coordinate event logistics, supplies, equipment, signage, setup needs, and activity materials.
  • Support fitness programming, wellness challenges, recreation tournaments, social events, holiday events, and community-building activities.
  • Help monitor participation, collect guest feedback, and share ideas for improving future programming.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of recreation spaces, activity areas, fitness areas, common areas, and event locations.
  • Assist with guest questions, recreation requests, wellness program information, event information, and activity participation.
  • Partner with Guest Services, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, Facilities, Food Service, and Security to support event execution.
  • Help coordinate volunteers, recreation support staff, vendors, or activity partners as assigned.
  • Support community service projects, employee engagement activities, and outreach events connected to the broader local community.
  • Maintain accurate records related to programming, participation, supplies, inspections, and event follow-up.
  • Follow safety procedures and help ensure recreation activities, wellness programs, events, and spaces are safe and well-managed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Experience in events, recreation, hospitality, guest engagement, activities coordination, fitness, wellness, or community programming required.
  • Degree is not required.
  • Prior experience helping plan, set up, execute, or support events strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with guests, employees, vendors, and department leaders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage supplies, timelines, setup details, and multiple activities at once.
  • Positive, service-focused attitude with the ability to create a welcoming guest experience.
  • Ability to work in an active, hands-on role that requires movement throughout the property.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Recreation, Guest Services, Marketing, Human Resources, Facilities, Food Service, Security, and Operations.
  • Basic computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office, email, calendars, and simple scheduling or event tools.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or ability to obtain after hire if required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on programming and event needs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and be physically active for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds for event setup, breakdown, and activity support.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Experience as a Recreation & Wellness Assistant Manager, Activities Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Recreation Coordinator, Guest Activities Supervisor, Wellness Coordinator, Community Engagement Coordinator, Resort Activities Coordinator, or Hospitality Events Supervisor.
  • Experience in resorts, cruise ships, hotels, recreation centers, fitness centers, campus recreation, workforce housing, residential communities, community events, or hospitality operations.
  • Experience executing guest events, social activities, fitness programs, wellness challenges, tournaments, volunteer events, employee events, or community programming.
  • Experience supporting event logistics, including setup, breakdown, supplies, vendors, guest communication, and day-of execution.
  • Experience working in a hands-on, guest-facing role where service, energy, organization, and follow-through are important.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 residential, hospitality, campus, remote site, or workforce community environment.
