Learning Coach | Full-Time | Goodyear, AZ | In-Person
About the Role
As a Learning Coach with Estrella Day School, you'll work alongside certified special education teachers to provide individualized academic, behavioral, and daily living support to students with unique needs.
Our students have a variety of diagnoses, including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and physical and intellectual disabilities. You'll be part of a collaborative classroom team that uses research-based practices, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), therapeutic approaches, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to help each student grow academically, socially, and independently.
This is a school-based position working on-site at our private special education day school in Goodyear, Arizona.

What You'll Do
• Work as part of a classroom team to support academic instruction, behavioral needs, and individualized student goals
• Implement lessons and activities as directed by the teacher or classroom lead, including independent work, small-group instruction, special projects, and discrete trials
• Follow individualized behavioral supports and behavior intervention plans
• Assist students with classroom routines, transitions, and activities of daily living as needed
• Collect and document academic and behavioral data as directed by the classroom teacher
• Implement behavior strategies aligned with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
• Provide individualized support to help students participate successfully in classroom activities and instruction
• Collaborate with teachers, learning coaches, therapists, and other members of the educational team to support student success
What We're Looking For
Must Have
• Ability to work on-site at Estrella Day School in Goodyear, Arizona
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a special education classroom team
• Ability to follow teacher-directed academic and behavioral support plans
• Ability to assist students with academic, behavioral, and daily living needs
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds
Preferred
• Previous paraprofessional or learning coach experience
• Experience providing academic or behavioral support to students with disabilities
• Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or physical/intellectual disabilities
• Familiarity with ABA, PBIS, behavior intervention plans, or other evidence-based behavioral supports
