Job description

If you see the world in layers, grids, and bold type — and know how to make a brand unforgettable — we should talk.

Who We Are
We’re a human-first, niche agency who gets to work with amazing clients across the US.
We’re entrepreneurial by nature (we move and pivot fast), we thoughtfully integrate AI, and we still bang a gong when we land a new client.

More Than Cars is a creative agency and new media company reshaping the perception of the retail automotive industry. “Love People More Than You Love Cars” is our mantra. Our work spans podcasts, videos, campaigns, activations, and live events. Our clients span dealers, tech companies, OEMs, and financial services.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can turn strategy into scroll-stopping visuals across digital, print, and social. This isn’t a “make it pretty” role. It’s about crafting smart, compelling design that moves people — and moves the needle.

You’ll collaborate closely with our creative, content, and client teams: sometimes designing a pitch-perfect Instagram carousel for a tech brand, other times building out assets for our own podcast promos, event materials, or internal campaigns.

The Gig Is:
  • Designing on-brand, creatively polished content for websites, presentations, display ads, and social posts including high‑performing landing pages built with clear UX structure and conversion‑focused design.
  • Taking daily and weekly planning directions well so you can easily juggle multiple projects, timelines, and assets.
  • Leveraging AI tools to accelerate ideation, generate visual variations, and enhance production workflows.
  • Transforming client goals into brilliant graphic solutions—think logos, websites, and more.
  • Keeping designs fresh, innovative, and true to our clients’ brands.
  • Sharing creative ideas and perspectives in brainstorming sessions.
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative team spirit.
You Bring:
  • Good communication skills, high level of empathy, professionalism and maturity.
  • 3+ years in professional graphic design.
  • A portfolio showcasing your bold visual designs.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
  • Experience with AI‑powered design tools (Midjourney, Firefly, Runway, or similar).
  • Experience in logo, icon, and wordmark design.
  • Ability to quickly and adopt design apps like Canva, Figma, etc
  • Skills in typography and visual hierarchy.
  • Knowledge of best practices digital and social media.
  • Understanding of landing page design principles, including hierarchy, UX flow, and conversion strategy.
  • Cross-platform thinking: mobile, web, video, organic, paid channels, collateral, and experiential.
  • A strong grasp of creative and production workflows, covering print, digital, video, and social media.
  • Interest in animation and UX design.
  • An ability to adhere to brand guidelines.
  • A high level of organization and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to switch priorities and keep deadlines
  • Enthusiasm for working in a motivated, growing company.
  • Bonus: Illustration, motion graphics, 2D animation, and brand development skills.
  • Bonus: Experience with print process.
  • Bonus: Experience using AI for concepting, image generation, or workflow automation.
Salary:

$65,000 – $70,000 per year, depending on experience and portfolio of work.

Sweet Benefits:
  • Employer-contributed health, dental, vision insurance

  • Life Insurance

  • 401(k) with employer match

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Bleeding edge hardware and software access

  • Occasional travel to industry events

Working Location & Hours:

This is an in-office position if you live within an hour drive of our headquarters in Syracuse. We’re open to a remote arrangement as well for the right candidate.

The hours are full-time, 40 hours/week within the range of 8am–7pm, Monday–Friday.

We operate in EDT.

How to Apply:
