Overview:
CBS Sports is seeking a highly creative and skilled Senior Social Media & Set Content Designer to join our award-winning Graphics Division. This role is in charge of creating compelling visual content that elevates CBS Sports across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. The ideal candidate is a motivated sports fan, remarkable visual storyteller, and innovative designer who thrives in a dynamic environment where deadlines are often measured in minutes rather than days.
The ideal candidate combines elite design talent with a genuine fascination for sports. They understand how to turn statistics, narratives, rivalries, and breaking news into memorable visual experiences that connect with fans across every platform. They are collaborative, innovative, malleable, and excited to help shape the future of CBS Sports storytelling.
Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize and design visually impactful graphics packages for social media, studio shows, live events, and broadcast environments
  • Develop story-driven visual content that enhances editorial narratives and deepens audience engagement
  • Create high-quality static and motion graphics for major sports properties including NFL, NCAA, PGA, Champions League, and other CBS Sports programming
  • Design and execute content for LED studio displays, virtual set elements, and in-show graphic integrations
  • Collaborate closely with producers, creative directors, art directors, editors, and social media teams to translate sports stories into compelling visual experiences
  • Rapidly develop creative concepts and execute designs under tight deadlines, often supporting live broadcasts and breaking news situations
  • Maintain a high level of design excellence while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Contribute innovative ideas that push the visual identity of CBS Sports forward across both broadcast and digital platforms
  • Stay current on sports culture, design trends, social media best practices, and emerging technologies

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in sports design, broadcast graphics, social content creation, or related creative fields
  • Remarkable design skills with a robust portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, typography, composition, branding, and visual storytelling
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and execute story-driven graphics that communicate information clearly and creatively
  • Deep knowledge with major sports, leagues, athletes, and current sports culture
  • Ability to perform at a high level under intense deadlines and rapidly changing priorities
  • Solid knowledge of social media content formats and audience engagement strategies across platforms
  • Exemplary communication and collaboration skills
  • Highly organized with robust attention to detail

Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience working in sports television, broadcast design, or major sports media organizations preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and related design tools preferred
  • Experience designing for studio environments, LED displays, and live production workflows preferred
  • Motion graphics and animation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of 3D design workflows and emerging creative technologies is a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $74,400.00 - 100,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
