Position Summary


The Seasonal Auction Operations Assistant supports the day-to-day handling and preparation of collectibles throughout the auction process. This role will be a part of our Animation or Movie Posters department. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a warehouse or operations environment, and have strong attention to detail. Responsibilities include unpacking, sorting, labeling, organizing, and preparing items for auction.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unpack and organize incoming consignments
  • Sort, clean, label, and prepare items for auction
  • Enter item information accurately into internal systems
  • Maintain organized storage and inventory areas
  • Ensure items are handled with care and according to department standards

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Assist with department projects and auction deadlines as assigned
  • Follow established procedures and quality standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience in warehouse, retail operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, fulfillment, or logistics is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
  • Must be comfortable lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to safely handle collectibles and auction property of varying sizes and values
