Compensation: $25 to $30 hourly, depending on experience, plus opportunities for bonuses.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Note: This role will include travel to properties in Denver, CO.

Job Summary:

As a Painter, you'll be responsible for managing any common area paint touch ups as well as hallway and curb painting. Your primary duties include preparing surfaces, mixing and matching paint colors, applying coatings with brushes, rollers, or sprayers, and ensuring a high-quality finish. Additionally, you'll collaborate with other maintenance staff to coordinate painting projects, maintain painting equipment, and adhere to safety regulations and environmental guidelines. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete unit turn paint; including touch up paint, color change, ceiling, cabinets baseboard and trim as directed by manager.
  • Complete drywall repairs to surfaces in vacant and occupied apartment homes.
  • Complete exterior wood, stucco and fencing repairs and paint.
  • Any common area paint touch ups, hallway, curb paint.
  • Applies paints, sealers, and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete, and wood.
  • Performs building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, mud and tape, and texturing tasks.
  • Operates equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding.
  • Performs special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Performs minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster.
  • Surveys building painting project sites to estimate time and material quantities required; selects appropriate surface coatings.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum one year of painting experience required, multifamily experience preferred.

Education:

  • High school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Accurately perform basic mathematical functions.
  • EPA Universal Certification preferred.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer and internet knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to use on-site resident management software preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Physical demands may include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The team member will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands. The team member may occasionally be required to climb. Specific vision requirements include the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The team member will be required to work at a personal computer. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends as needed.
