Job description

Sumitomo Electric Interconnect Products, Inc. (SEIP) is seeking an Eastern Regional Sales Manager. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing all sales activities for SEIP products within an assigned territory. This role leads sales representatives and distributors, supports key customers, develops sales strategies, and works cross-functionally to grow profitable business while delivering excellent customer support. This position reports to the Director of Sales. This is a remote position, with preferred location in the Eastern U.S. near a main airport hub.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of regional sales activities for assigned territory
  • Lead, coordinate, and support Sales Representatives and Distributors on behalf of SEIP
  • Serve as the primary management and technical interface with end-user and OEM customers
  • Promote effective application of SEIP products by presenting specifications, features, and technical solutions
  • Allocate on-site time appropriately with Sales Representatives, Distributors, and end-users
  • Develop and maintain strong internal relationships across SEIP departments to support customers and drive results
  • Coordinate customer issue resolution and problem-solving efforts
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities that support profitable growth
  • Partner with Executive Management, Customer Support, Product Management, Materials, and Finance to improve service levels
  • Support distributor training programs, incentive initiatives, and sales meetings
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives and Distributors to develop regional sales strategies, forecasts, and budgets
  • Prepare and present quarterly forecasts, budgets, and recommendations for SEIP management reviews
  • Generate monthly sales and forecast reports by distributor, sales representative, and region
  • Stay current on SEIP products, processes, applications, and new offerings
  • Provide ongoing technical training to customers and sales partners
  • Travel extensively within the assigned territory and attend SEIP meetings as required
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of outside OEM or Distributor Sales Management experience
  • Experience in electronics, electrical, and/or aerospace industries required
  • Strong technical background combined with solid business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical presentations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex opportunities and present findings to management
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Prior supervisory or sales leadership experience preferred
  • The ability and availability to travel extensively locally, nationally, and internationally.
The base salary range for this position is $135,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually.
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives.
