Payroll Clerk 
  • Inputs payroll requests into payroll software in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.  
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for out Utah office and backup for bi-weekly payroll processing for our MN office. 
  • Answers payroll questions and requests for employees by collecting and analyzing information. 
  • Reviews timecards and payroll for discrepancies and accuracy. 
  • Responsible for creating and posting bi-weekly journal entries into accounting software. 
  • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local legal requirements for payroll and payroll taxes. 
  • Garnishment reporting, 401K reporting, benefit reporting 
  • Maintains payroll procedures and records. 
  • Bi-weekly employee orientation training and site training as needed.  
  • Communicates effectively with all levels across the organization. 
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping confidential information. 
  • Other Duties as assigned 
 Benefit Clerk 
  • Coordinates annual open enrollment and prepares employee communications and materials.. 
  • Assists employees with questions regarding health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and other benefit programs. 
  • Ensures payroll deductions are accurate 
  • Works with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve eligibility and claim issues.  
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations, including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Section 125 requirements. 
  • Prepares benefit reports and audits enrollment data for accuracy.  
  • Assists with leave administration, including FMLA and other leave-related benefit coordination. 
  • Yearly mandated reporting

Required SkillsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 
Education: 
 
  • High school diploma or GED, required 
Experience: 
  • 2-3 years of experience with full cycle payroll 
  • Working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state, and local levels. 
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: 
  • Knowledge of garnishments and benefits distribution and deductions. 
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office  
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel). 
  • Knowledge of Paylocity 
  • Must be a team player 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Good research and analysis skills 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
Licensure/Certification: 
  • Certification or Associates degree in finance or accounting
