What is full time P&L management?

Full time P&L (Profit and Loss) management refers to the responsibility of overseeing and managing the financial performance of a business or a business unit on a full-time basis. This involves tracking revenues, costs, and expenses to ensure profitability, setting budgets, analyzing financial statements, and making strategic decisions to drive growth. Professionals in this role are accountable for meeting financial targets, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, and mitigating risks. They often work closely with other departments such as sales, operations, and finance to align goals and deliver results.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a full time P&L management role?

Thriving in a full-time P&L Management role requires strong financial acumen, analytical abilities, and a solid background in accounting or business, often supported by a bachelor's or master's degree in finance or business administration. Familiarity with financial modeling tools, ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, and advanced Excel skills are typically necessary. Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and communication skills help drive team performance and align business objectives. These skills enable effective oversight of revenue and expenses, ensuring profitability and long-term business growth.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever's recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.

What can I do?

If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them via Una Live Chat.

Unilever does not accept responsibility or liability for any candidates who are financially impacted by recruitment fraud. Your vigilance is key!
