What You’ll Do

As a Lighting Technician, you will install low-voltage outdoor lighting systems, generally in residential settings, while delivering a professional and respectful customer experience. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

·       Install Fixtures: Assemble lights and mount them in prescribed locations according to the approved design.

·       Run Low-Voltage Wiring: Route and bury wiring through landscape areas and lawns as well as up gutters and along rooflines without damaging the customer’s property.

·       Connect Systems: Mount transformers, connect wire runs, and verify that installed components operate properly.

·       Optimize Light Placement: Selectively trim trees, shrubs, and other vegetation as authorized to provide clear fixture placement, proper light distribution, and a polished appearance.

·       Enhance Landscaped Areas: Install or reposition landscape materials, such as mulch, stone, or plant material, as directed to restore and beautify areas affected by the work.

·       Protect the Jobsite: Respect the customer’s property and clean all areas affected by the installation.

·       Guide Customers: Provide system orientation as applicable and explain available products and services in a helpful, professional manner.

·       Support Growth: Identify appropriate opportunities to recommend additional products or services that may improve the customer’s lighting system.

·       Maintain Readiness: Properly care for and operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment, and help maintain appropriate inventory levels.

·       Work as a Team: Provide direction or assistance to other installers when applicable and communicate clearly with the supervisor throughout the project.

·      Education: High school diploma or GED.
