Job description

Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is hiring Full-Time Operational Support Drivers to support Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicle testing for a leading automotive Tier 1 supplier in Portland, OR.
This role supports next-generation vehicle technology and requires focused driving, technical interaction, and disciplined data collection. Candidates who meet the qualifications for this Full-time Operational Support Driver position below are strongly encouraged to apply.
Overview:
This position is not a traditional driving job. Successful candidates are comfortable with structured training, extended driving sessions (approximately 6.25 hours per shift), daily computer and data-entry work, and operating in a safety-critical environment.
Training:
  • Mandatory paid training is required prior to independent driving and includes safety protocols, system tools, and hands-on practice.
    • 1 week classroom training
    • 1-2 weeks in vehicle training
Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Have a valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Minimum 2 years of U.S. driving experience
  • Comfortable using laptops and in-vehicle systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Experience with computers or electronics
  • Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, or Linux
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing

Preferred (not required):
  • ADAS or autonomous vehicle experience
  • Automotive or technical background

Responsibilities:
  • Drive prototype and pre-production vehicles on public roads and designated routes
  • Test Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) under real-world conditions
  • Operate in-vehicle data collection computers and laptops
  • Start/stop recordings, monitor system health and perform basic troubleshooting
  • Accurately log driving activity and observations
  • Follow strict safety, documentation, and test procedures
  • Complete pre- and post-drive documentation and vehicle checks
  • Must be able to safely climb a 3-step ladder/stool to wipe vehicle sensor arrays as needed

Shift Schedule:
  • AM Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday–Sunday)
  • PM Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Monday–Sunday)
  • Weekend availability required based on schedule

Pay:
  • $22.00/hour
