Location: On-site in Deerfield Beach, FL with expected work hours from 8:30 AM to 5PM ET Mon-Fri.
Summary Description:
    The Patient Access Scheduler supports the Patient Access - Onshore department in various functions, including scheduling patient appointments and managing schedules for healthcare providers and facilities. This role is critical in ensuring efficient patient access to healthcare services and supporting overall patient satisfaction. This role involves coordinating with providers/facility schedules, determining patient portion estimates,

o    Must be able to commute to office in Deerfield Beach, FL
    Patient access experience is big plus
    Healthcare customer service experience is helpful
    College degree in healthcare administration is preferred
    Proven data entry skills needed
    Start date goal is Sept 2
Daily Responsibilities:
    Schedule patient appointments and procedures accurately
    Collect necessary patient demographic and insurance information
    Obtain referrals, authorizations, pre-certification information
    Verify patient eligibility and benefits have been verified
    Maintain organized patient scheduling records
    Assist in other duties as assigned
Skills and Education:
    High School Diploma or GED required
    A bachelor's or associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field is preferred
    Knowledge of Medical Terminology and ability to interpret clinical documentation
    Computer literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Office
    Ability to handle high call volume
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and orally.
    At least 2 years of experience in data entry or patient access roles
    Experience in scheduling patient appointments and procedures
    Ability to collect patient information and verify insurance coverage and necessary authorizations have been obtained
    Able to work a hybrid schedule and commute into office in Deerfield Beach, FL
