Lot Porter | Vehicle Inventory amp; Lot Operations — Winston-Salem, NC | Sweetie Boy Transportation

Sweetie Boy Transportation, established in 2010, is a full-service Automobile Transportation and Logistics company. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Lot Porter to support daily lot operations in Winston-Salem, NC. This role is hands-on and active—lots of walking, scanning inventory, staging vehicles for drivers and car haulers, and protecting keys/vehicles with a safety-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Control
    • Conduct daily lot scans by walking the lot and scanning vehicles to ensure accurate inventory tracking (including dwell/time-on-lot)
    • Assist in operation of motorized gate to control access to hub lot.
    • Check in vehicles delivered by AutoPilots, car haulers, and partner carriers
    • Track, issue, and return plates, safety vests, and other required equipment
    • Staging Cars for Drivers amp; Haulers
    • Stage and line up vehicles for AutoPilots and car haulers based on the hub schedule
    • Distribute/collect keys and paperwork for driver pickups/drop-offs
    • Assist/direct car haulers during loading and unloading (per schedule)
    • Protecting Assets amp; Vehicle Condition
    • Maintain an organized key and documentation system
    • Inspect vehicles for damage and verify VINs during check-in/check-out
  • Lot amp; Office Organization
    • Inspect the lot daily for debris, hazards, and safety concerns
    • Keep the lot organized for efficient space usage and flow
    • Other cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR will be checked) and maintained driving history for the past 5 years
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and walk large lots for extended periods
  • Able to stand/walk up to 4 hours at a time; able to bend/kneel/stoop to inspect vehicles/VINs as needed
  • Must wear a safety vest at all times on company and customer property
  • Strong attention to detail and organization (inventory accuracy matters)
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and safety-first with strong communication skills

Compensation

  • $17.50/hour
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit

Schedule

  • Full-time (40 hours/week), rotating weekends required.
    • Available Shifts:

        • 6:00am-2:00pm
      • Mid-Morning:
        • 11:00AM–7:00PM
      • Closing:
        • 2:00PM–10:00PM
